Getting Started

What is My Orderly Home?

My Orderly Home helps you organize your belongings into Storage Areas (rooms) and Containers (boxes, suitcases) so you can find anything in seconds. You can scan QR codes on containers to share contents with family or movers.

How do I add my first item?

Create a Storage Area (e.g. "Garage"), then a Container inside it (e.g. "Tools Box"), then add Items to the container. You can add items by typing, by photo, or by voice.

Subscriptions

Can I change tiers later?

Yes. Go to Settings → Subscription. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply at the next renewal.

Photos & Limits

Why can't I add another photo?

Each plan includes a photo allowance. There are two plans, Basic and Premium, and the current allowance for each is shown in the app — on the plan screen and on your profile's usage page. Those are the figures that count: they are set on our servers and can change without an app update, so a number printed here would go out of date without anyone noticing. The allowance resets at the start of each new billing period — yours, not the calendar month — so it turns over on the day your subscription renews. Removing a photo before the period ends gives the slot back.

What does "Limit reached" mean?

Each plan includes an allowance for the things you do most — creating items, containers and storage areas, attaching photos, and so on. When you reach one, the app tells you and declines that action; it never charges you extra, and it never discards anything you have already saved. You can wait for the allowance to reset, or tap Upgrade Plan on the message itself. Allowances that reset do so at the start of each new billing period — yours, not the calendar month — so they turn over on the day your subscription renews. Your current allowances are shown in the app, on the plan screen and on your profile's usage page.

Sharing & QR Codes

How do I share a container?

Open the container, tap the share icon, and choose how to share — by user, by access label, or by QR code. Storage Areas cannot be shared; only containers can.

Someone scanned my QR but got "Access Denied" — why?

The container's QR access mode is set to "label only" or "closed" in Share Settings. Open the container's share settings and switch to "open" if you want anyone with the QR to be able to request access.

Offline

Does My Orderly Home work offline?

Yes. You can browse, search, and edit your inventory without internet.

Account & Privacy

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Data & account → Delete Account — the third row, after Export My Data and Logout. Your data is held for 30 days in case you change your mind, then permanently deleted. To cancel inside those 30 days, tap Keep my account on the banner at the top of Settings, or on the subscription screen. Signing out and back in does not cancel a pending deletion.

How do I export my data?

Settings → Data & account → Export My Data. You'll receive a ZIP file with all your items, containers, and links to your photos.

My device verification failed at signup — what do I do?

At signup we verify your device with Google Play Integrity to protect against automated abuse. Verification can fail in three situations:

If none of these apply, email support@myorderlyhome.com with your device model and Android version and we'll investigate.

How do referral bonus days work?

When a friend uses your referral code AND subscribes, you earn bonus premium days — 30 days for your first referral, then 14 days for each of the next four (cap of ~3 months total). The bonus is credited to your subscription's expiry date, so you skip charges for that many days.

If you redeem someone else's code, you earn 7 bonus days. They activate when you subscribe — your first paid month is 37 days for the price of 30.

Bonus days only count when both parties subscribe with a payment method on file, which is why your referrer's reward is delayed until you actually subscribe.

Printable Label Maker

Is the label maker free?

Yes. The printable label maker is free, with no signup, no account and no watermark, and there is no paid version of it to upgrade to.

What paper sizes does the label maker support?

Eight: A4 (210 × 297 mm), Letter (8.5 × 11 in), A5 (148 × 210 mm), Half Letter (5.5 × 8.5 in), A6 pocket (105 × 148 mm), index card (4 × 6 in), A7 mini (74 × 105 mm) and business card (85.6 × 54 mm). Sheets smaller than the paper in your printer are tiled onto a larger carrier sheet with a cut line around each one.

Do I need the app, or an account, to use the label maker?

No. The label maker runs entirely in your browser and is not connected to your My Orderly Home account. You do not need to install the app or sign in to use it.

Can I use the label maker with Avery label sheets?

No. It prints onto ordinary paper with a dashed cut line around each label, to be cut apart with scissors or a guillotine. It does not align to the peel-off grid of Avery, Herma or other pre-cut adhesive sheets, and there is no template picker for those products.

Does the label maker store or upload what I type?

No. The words you type are never sent anywhere, nothing is kept between visits, and there is no analytics on the page. Once it has loaded you can disconnect from the internet and it will still print.
